The Pioneer Golf Classicwill tee it up this year on Monday, August 2. Make sure your calendar is marked and plan to join us at the prestigious Indian Hills Golf Club in Stillwater. Proceeds from the event will benefit capital athletic improvements on the Hill-Murray campus, as well as the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Invite your friends, neighbors and colleagues to play at one of the area’s finest private courses. This tournament is open to all golfers!

The 2010 Honorary Chair for the tournament is Terry Skrypek. "Coach Skry" is the most successful coach in the history of Pioneer Hockey. During his 14 years as head coach of the boys program they won 88% of their games with an astounding 325-44-3 record. The state championship season of 1982-83 is still regarded as one of the greatest seasons in high school hockey history. The Pioneers finished 28-0 and still hold the record for most goals in a season with 243. Terry also coached football and baseball as well as teaching English and physical education during his 17 years with Hill-Murray.
"Coach Skry had a profound effect on his players,” says former player and Pioneer Golf Classic organizer Bill Schafhauser (80'). “Of course he taught us how to play the game - no one is better. But most of all he taught us how to become better people. He was honest, fair, and coached with great respect for the game. Little did we know at the time how often we would look back to the days of playing for him and realize what great life lessons we learned from him."
